For the 2011-2012 school year we are offering five different class options:
  • 2/3 year olds (T/Th)
  • 3/4 year olds 2 day (M/W or T/Th)
  • 3/4 year olds 3 day (M/W/F or T/Th/F)
  • 4/5 year olds (Pre-K) 3 day (M/W/F)
  • Pre-K/Kindergarten: 2-day enrichment program 

The 2/3 and 3/4 classes will meet in the morning. We are offering the 4/5 3 day class in the morning OR afternoon. 
The 2 day enrichment is offered ONLY in the afternoon. However, if you enroll in the 4/5 morning program, you can still enroll in the afternoon add-on enrichment program.

Class Times and 2012-13 Monthly Tuition:
  • 2/3: T/Th, 9:30-11:30 $130
  • 3/4: T/Th, 9:15-11:45 $135
  • 3/4: M/W/F 9:15-11:45 $175
  • 4/5: M/W/F 9:15-11:45 $175
  • 4/5: M/W/F 12:30-3:00 $175
  • 4/5: Pre-K/Kindergarten Enrichment 12:30-3:00 $110 (this class is open to children who are enrolled in any Kindergarten program)
In addition, any family that has multiple children enrolled in the school will receive 10% off of the lowest priced tuition.

I
n order to register, we will need to collect the required paperwork (available from Registrar or to download below), a copy of the child's birth certificate and/or adoption certificate, and a $75 non-refundable registration fee.





Typical Class Schedule:

  • Free Play with teacher guidance
  • Circle Activities (Songs, Stories, Calendar, Weather, Show-n-Tell for 4/5)
  • Center Rotations (Curriculum-based Art Projects, Table Games, Reading)
  • Snack(Healthy snack & 100% juice/milk provided by the parent helper)
  • Outdoor Play (Indoor Gym Time)


Minimum Parent Participation: 
  • Classroom helper on a rotating basis (provide snack & assist teaching staff) (about every 6-8 weeks depending on class size)
  • Serve on one school committee
  • Chaperone at least one field trip (2/3 class) or two field trips per year (3/4 and 4/5 classes only)
  • Opportunity to be an active participant in your child's learning


Discipline:
We believe in positive reinforcement and setting a good example. Your child's unique needs will be nurtured at Grayslake Cooperative Nursery School.
