The Grayslake Cooperative Nursery School (GCNS)
The Grayslake Cooperative Nursery School was started in 1976 by a group of mothers who were looking for a quality preschool with a focus on socialization and a positive start to the school experience.
Today, we continue with that same philosophy in mind. The Grayslake Cooperative Nursery School has been educating young children in Grayslake and surrounding areas for over 35 years. We are experienced educators and loving parents dedicated to developing children academically, emotionally, socially and physically in a nurturing, family-focused, bright environment. Our parent involvement makes our school unique, and makes your child's first school experience even more special. We currently offer classes for for children aged 2 through Kindergarten. The Cooperative Philosophy
A cooperative preschool operates differently than most other types of preschools. We rely on parent participation to not only make this experience the best for your child, but also for you to be involved in your child's education. Our preschool is designed to have parents and staff working together to provide children with the best preschool experience possible.
Our preschool has a lot to offer your child—come see what makes our school so great. We can't wait to hear from you! (We welcome families from Grayslake, Hainesville, Round Lake, Gurnee, Mundelein, Libertyville and surrounding areas.)
Grayslake Cooperative Nursery School is the only cooperative preschool in Grayslake and one of the few whose teachers are ALL certified educators. GCNS has been enriching the lives of the children of our community for over 35 years.
